China Cove

Location: China Cove, Point Lobos State Natural Reserve.
Address: 62 California 1, Carmel, CA 93923
More Info: China Cove is a magnificent jade water beach, situated in a lush cove between two cavernous rock walls. To get here, drive to the very end of the park road and then walk out on the Bird Island Trail which has steps that lead down to the beach. If the parking lot at the end of the road is open, then you won’t have to walk far to get here, but the parking lots at Point Lobos fill up regularly. If you can find a parking space anywhere in the park and are willing to hike a little, with a map you can find your way to China Cove Beach. *At This time you can not access the beach due to Seals using it for their pups, but you can still get a gorgeous view of it.

Experience: China Cove is incredible, when I first came upon the view of the water, I was taken aback by the color of the water and surrounding landscape. It is a really easy trail to follow to get to this point, and entirely worth the view. The natural beauty is nearly unmatched, as it is one of the most gorgeous beaches I have ever had the chance to lay my eyes on. I would highly recommend having a picnic or bringing a lunch and stopping at Point lobos state reserve if you’re in the area, and hoping to take in some enchanting scenery. (8/10)
