TV Time

May 12th, 2023

Today, my buddy, James, and I are going to be participating in a televised game show.

I slept in this morning, woke up at 5:30 am. It was nice to sleep in. I feel so rested.
Left the house at 6:30a.m. picked him up before 7:00am, and we were on our way.

The show is recorded in the valley, so we had to leave early to avoid traffic, and make sure we got there in time.

We made such good time, that we stopped for a coffee.

When we pulled into the Studio Lot, it was still on the earlier side, and we were one of the first to arrive.

There was one gentleman there that looked like he could be an executive. He was another contestant, we shared a short conversation with him, it was cordial, but if we were opponents in the game, there would be no holding back, total domination.

We continued to the contestant loading zone.

There were a large open room, filled with about 30 chairs. A couple of people were already sitting inside, we took a seat in the back row of chairs. There were refreshments and snacks on a nearby table, and everyone hung up their outfits on these portable clothing racks.

The room started to fill up, and the started to fill us in on the process. A few contestants names were called out, and they were escorted to another room.

The rest of us, were meeting with the stylists, to make sure our outfits didn’t disrupt the cameras.

While we were waiting, James, was reading, and I was writing. Spoke to a few of the other contestants around us, everyone was friendly, seemed pretty excited. BANG! BANG! CRASH! There was some loud noises, then an explosion!

Everyone got up out of their seats, but nobody knew what was going on, the crew said they never heard a sound like that from the studio lot.

It was loud enough that everybody stopped what they were doing. Then there was another explosion.

We could hear screaming coming from outside.

A group of us hurried to the door, to see what was happening.

we were peering out from behind the door, one of the guys Josh, he stepped out to get a better look.

He was standing there, and saying how he couldn’t see anything, there was too much smoke filtering through.

We could see him right in front of us, suddenly he was mobbed by a bunch of small creatures.

They looked like toddlers. They were all over him in a matter of seconds, he was being ripped apart right in front of our eyes.

We closed the door immediately, there was nothing that could be done for him it happened too quick. There was about 50 toddlers that had been rushing towards us, we could hear screams continue outside.

The toddlers had to be from the daycare on campus. I’ve never seen toddlers run so fast, let alone be so aggressive, it was like they were possessed.

The group was barricading the door, with whatever they could find, people were panicking, we were trying to be as quiet as possible.

The group was beginning to panic, when they realized they saw a man get eaten alive.

Nobody knew what was happening, and even the walkie talkies were no longer working. Another explosion, more screams.

We were getting our bearing together to see what our best move would be. Everyone started to grab whatever they could to protect themselves, we thought our best bet was to rush to our cars, and make a break for it, otherwise we were sitting ducks, trapped in this studio.

In my head I kept thinking they were just toddlers right? but we really had no idea what was out there only what we saw for those couple minutes.

We took apart the clothing racks, and I grabbed one of the poles as weapon.

More explosions could be heard in the distance. There was 14 of us still trapped in the studio, so I knew there were good odds.

The group said to stick together protect one another and make it to the cars, but it just didn’t seem like a good idea to move so slow. James and I took it upon ourselves to separate from the group, and rush to the car.

When we all opened the door and got out of the studio, it was complete and utter chaos, peoples bodies were strewn all around, it was like they were almost disintegrated, no skin or meat on their bones.

The group we were with, you could see the panic in the people, nobody screamed, but it was a gruesome sight. There was the sound of pitter patter behind us, and we all turned around. There was about 20 toddlers walking towards us. They weren’t running, or really even walking towards us, it was like they were walking in our direction, but couldn’t see any of us.

One of the crew members, said “what should we do”? and all of a sudden all the kids heads perked up and tilted in her direction. Sound. Sound. They respond to noise. The kids started rushing towards where they heard the woman’s voice.

Somebody yelled out “RUN,” and everybody took off! James and I stuck to our plan, these were toddlers we thought we could kick their ass. We raced to the car, and who knows if we were being chased, on the way there were a couple toddlers that tried to attack us, I took one out with the metal pole, and James hit another one. Knocked them out cold.

We made it to the car, we could hear screams, it felt like that moment in the airplane, when you have to save yourself first.

I turned the whip on, and opened the sunroof, James grabbed the clothing rack pole, now it was our time to try and save whoever we could.

We skirted off into the dust, looking for people, anybody that needed help, I ran over a good 8 or ten of these toddlers and James hit a couple off the car, they were almost supernatural, fast, strong, and ugly deformed little creatures. Almost as if they weren’t human anymore. There were a couple people trapped on top of the trailers of the host for the tv show. we got as close as we could and they jumped into the car. Now we had to find our way out of this mess. So much for being on tv aye.

to be continued….or not we’ll see
