Experience:
When I visited Point Mugu State park, I camped in a group of 44 people, and it was my first time camping in such large group. It was pretty cool. Yes it took a lot more work and preparation, but as a group with everybody pitching in, it actually made it easier than camping on my own. We hiked a couple of trails, the Mugu peak trail and the Scenic Overlook Trail, they both had spectacular views, but I really enjoyed Mugu Peak. When we got to the top we were above the clouds and the view was majestic. Whenever you’re above the clouds it almost feels like you’re floating.

I would highly recommend anybody camp at Point Mugu, it’s the perfect distance if you want to get away from the city, but don’t want to drive to far. Theres plenty of trails close by, and they’re easy enough, that anyone can do them. Even if hiking is not your forte, the beach has a beautiful view of the ocean, and the sunset always reflects off the shore. Overall (8/10).
