Hsi Lai Temple: is a mountain monastery in the northern Puente Hills, Hacienda Heights, Los Angeles County, California.
More Info: “Fo Guang Shan Hsi Lai Temple, the North American Regional Headquarters of Fo Guang Shan, was built to serve as a spiritual and cultural center for those interested in learning more about Buddhism and Chinese culture. It is the intention of its founder, Venerable Master Hsing Yun, to propagate Humanistic Buddhism and to create a Pure Land here on earth. Hsi Lai Temple is built to fulfill these goals in the United States.

Experience: The Temple is impressive. It’s beautiful grounds are a place I go back to visit, because it is an experience in itself. There is a feeling you get when you’re here. A peaceful easy feeling. I would recommend trying out there vegetarian buffet or making the time to visit during the Chinese Spring Festival, a two week festival where they see upwards of 20,000 visitors a day. (8/10)
