HIKING IN THE CANYON

My buddy, called me up on the fly. Invited me on a hike. I am spontaneous, and love to do things at the spur of a moment. So, of course I said yes, he swooped me up, and we were off to the races. Headed up the twisty, windy road, arrived at the entrance to the trail, a hike I had never done before, but had seen the week prior and wanted to explore. He said he had never been on this trail before, but recognized it from the other side, when we reached the end. While on the hike, we went off trail to explore the canyon side, it was so lush, full of wildflowers. My buddy surprised me with a six pack of brews, and we cracked them open right here, enjoyed some ice cold beer as we climbed the canyon. We spotted a few abandoned lawn chairs, and took a break admiring the sunset while we enjoyed our beers. IT was an awesome hike, and now that I type about it, I have to make the effort to get out there again, because it was truly a spectacular location and trail.
